TPM & Lean Project Pilot
Key Responsibilities:
Plan & implement TPM in the maintenance and production departments across the site. Major achievements include:
· MTBF Improvement up from 8hrs to 24hrs
· MTTR Improvement from 4hrs to 1.5hrs
· Reduction in Number of Maintenance callouts from 50+\wk to 5\wk
· 18% improvement right 1st time quality in the Colour Booth
Develop & provide coaching on TPM principles & methodologies to Directors, Managers, Engineers and Production operatives. Key achievements in this role have included:
· 200 production personnel instructed via formal presentations.
· 40 technical 1 to 1 coaching sessions for Maintenance trades people.
· Provide coaching to Directors & Managers during committee meetings.
Managing contractors in terms of meeting the requirements of:
· Maintenance Service Level Agreements and financial planning

Reliability Maintenance Engineer
Managing & implementing planned maintenance activities & schedules using a computerised database system.
· Incorporating 600 individual sets of maintenance instructions
· Modifying time based schedules to take into account changes in the production volumes
Analysis of equipment reliability, and subsequently reviewing & re-writing maintenance instructions, to ensure optimisation of maintenance activity.
· Reduce PM Man hours from 600+ man hrs \ week to 520man hrs \week
Creating maintenance schedules for existing & new equipment using manufacturers’ manuals including:
· Checking of all documentation to ensure that the technical content was relevant, pertinent and in a format easily interpreted by the trades people.
· Creating specific visual aids to remove ambiguity of technical instruction.

Multi-skilled Tradesperson
Working as part of a multi-skilled maintenance team to carry out breakdown repairs & planned preventative maintenance schedules on a wide variety of equipment in a fast moving Production environment. He has gained a working knowledge of PLC’s (Siemens), ladder logic & schematic electrical circuit diagrams. Carrying out installation work as required.

Working as an electrical Maintenance team member to carry out breakdown repairs & planned preventative maintenance schedules on plastic moulding & extrusion equipment. Carrying out installation work as required.

After completing an indentured apprenticeship to become a Class II electrician, installing & repairing a wide variety of equipment & electrical systems including EHT, HT, MV, LV, Flameproof and intrinsically safe systems.
