We are currently working with a major 1st Tier Automotive supplier who is seeking to employ a saftey technician. The role reports directly to the Management Systems Co-Ordinator and as such will be supporting the technical services manager in the implementation, assessments and development of the company saftey policy and its procedures.
The candidate will be expected to assist and develop the company Health & Safety Management System by means of implementing a full training program to support all departments, advise the management teams of issues that could affect the company from risk assessment audits completed. To also co-ordinate training programs for fork lift trucks, mobile elevating working platforms, maintain registers and statutory inspections, incident investigations, occupational health reports, ergonomic assessment surveys, and support a 24 hour emergency contact relating to safety issues.
The candidate will be educated to at least GCSE grades A - C ( including maths & english ), hold a valid current NEBOSHH certificate, be an accredited Fork Lift trainer, and hold an NVQ Level 3 in Supervisory Management.
